Code of Conduct

Our current session fees are:

Free for children who are able to claim free funded entitlement.

£6 per hour for private paying families, or for wrap around care outside of funded entitlement.

There are no set fees for snacks/disposables. 

We ask for a voluntary donation of £1 per week towards snacks. Payable as and when you can, we do not write down who does and doesn't pay and all children receive equally regardless of donations. 

​

We ask you to please check in online regularly to see our list of disposables, and if you can buy some in your weekly shop to donate from time to time we would be very grateful. 

​

Fees are reviewed and any changes will be communicated with at least one months notice. 

​

Funding entitlement

We accept Early Years Free Entitlement (EYFE) funding for eligible 2, 3 and 4 year olds. 

Funded hours can be claimed up to the government's maximum entitlement per term.

Parents will be asked to complete the necessary funding declaration forms to secure their child's funded place.

Any hours attended above the funded entitlement will be charged at our usual hourly rate. 

Funded hours may not be exchanged for monetary value or carried over to the next term.

Invoicing and Payment

Invoices are issued per half term and must be paid by the due date stated on the invoice.

Payment can be made by bank transfer, childcare vouchers, or tax-free childcare accounts.

Late or Non-Payment

If a payment is not received by the due date, a reminder will be sent. 

Continued non-payment may result in temporary suspension of the child's place or referral to a debt recovery service if necessary. 

We will always aim to work with families experiencing financial difficulties. Please speak to the playgroup manager in confidence if you require support or a payment plan.

Notice period

We require a minimum of 4 weeks written notice if you wish to withdraw your child from playgroup.

Fees remain payable during the notice period. 

If notice is not given, fees for the notice period will still be charged.

Absence or Holiday

Fees remain payable for all booked sessions, including if your child is absent due to illness, holidays or other reasons. 

Refunds or reductions cannot be offered for missed sessions. 

​

Closure days

If the setting has a planned closure we will not charge. 

If the setting has an emergency closure;

Children who pay will be reimbursed.

We will try to offer alternative hours to children accessing funding less than 30 hours per week although this may not be possible. 

We cannot offer alternative hours to children accessing 30 hours per week.
